Kelsey Leinen Kelsey Leinen is an Omaha native who spent her childhood summers in the wilds of Iowa. Her work draws from the rich imagery of myths and folktales, dreams and the primal archetypes that rule in the subconscious realm. She is fascinated by boundaries and contradictions, and imagines both her life and her art as a dance between infinite polarities. It is, of course, a masquerade. She believes in compassion, but feels religion misses its point. She has no children. She has a lot of books. When she dies, her small effect on this world will be a drop in a vast and timeless ocean, and that gives her a strange comfort. Her favorite food is either popcorn or ice cream, but she can't decide which. |
