Morgan Bentley
Morgan Bentley was born in Omaha and lived in Papillion until moving to Arlington as a third grader, where she stayed until graduating from Arlington High. Upon leaving high school, she attended Wayne State College in Wayne, NE to pursue a degree in Studio Art. Throughout her four and a half years at Wayne, she worked with various materials, including but not limited to: charcoal, wood, oil & acrylic paints, steel, ceramics, graphite and found objects. She found her biggest strengths to be in her drawing and painting classes, where she eventually developed a fondness of collage & mixed media paintings. Some of her biggest inspirations include plants, music, animals, advertisements, the human body, travel and surrealist artists Dali and Magritte. Three months of study/travel in Greece sparked a passion for traveling and has influenced many of her works from that point on. |
Upon graduating from Wayne State in December 2016, she set off to find even more inspiration on her first solo back-
packing trip through South America. She currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD where she continues to experiment and work in different styles, with a main focus in collage. |
